【Beginner Golf Practice Method】3 Reasons Why You Are Not Good at Approaching!
Hello, this is CLARD!
For the first time in Japan on May 16th, we are in the process of practicing for the match against the president!
90% of my right leg was injured during my main farming work, so I can devote myself to golf practice while working hard for the remaining week(; ・`д・´)
However, when I was watching YouTube in the imagery of this course
"I wonder if I can hit a tee shot properly on such a narrow fairway ..."
”OB is scary scary scary …”
I'm already soooo nervous(-_-;)
I will continue to practice to relieve that tension!
I think everyone is
"Duffing too much around the green"
"I put too much effort into it and hit to the other side of the green!"
Everyone wants to be careful about three points and gain confidence before I am not good at approaching. (*´▽`*)
This time, I practiced by referring to this video by Shingo Katayama↓
[Table of Contents]
- Position to Put the Ball
- If the Swing Width is Small, it Tends to be Hand-made.
- AW and PW are easier to approach than SW
Position to Put the Ball
As a conclusion,
”The ball at the time of approach is on the heel line of the left foot ”
<Points>
- It doesn't change much whether it opens a little or not.
- Assuming that you hold it open, even if there is a ball on the tip of your right toe, it should be on the line of your left foot heel if you align your feet in front of you.
Mr. Golgo who appears in the video seems to have felt quite uncomfortable with the position of this ball.
Looking at Mr. Katayama's guidance to correct that, I was told that it was a very important point(;'∀')
Even if you feel uncomfortable in this place, instead of trying to hit it by hand, the arm is fixed after holding it and rotated from the lower body to keep a certain sense of distance from the ball!!
If the Swing Width is Small, it Tends to be Hand-made.
As a conclusion,
"Rotate the upper body by exercising the legs"
This was the most difficult thing (;'∀')
Even if I was conscious of rotation using my feet, I was duffed and did not reach the target. But there is no choice but to practice!
<Points>
- Mr. Katayama is swinging with both knees
- Make a distance by the momentum of the knee (the movement of the right foot floating before and after the impact can be seen)
By using your feet to create a sense of distance, the amount of movement of the head will decrease.
Well, I feel like I understand or can’t.(-_-;)
AW and PW are easier to Approach than SW
As a conclusion,
"Use different clubs depending on the situation"
This was a word advised by FB's golf group, but I finally fell in love with it when I actually compared it.
When comparing PW with 52 ° at the same speed and swing width, the trajectory and carry-run ratio were clearly different!
