The Golf Driving Range at 10:00 a.m. on Weekdays Is Like This

My personal lessons are basically done thrice per week every Saturdays, Sundays and
Wednesdays. So today is my first practice in the morning.

 

When I walked to the practice field while reviewing  the steps of takeaway, the field was already about 60% full !

 

"Well, everyone is quite free to come to practice from the morning on weekdays."

My coach Popoy (see picture below) , a beer-bellied nice guy second from left was still coaching my former students.

 Why Does it Go Right?

After 10 minutes, after the coaches joined, Popoy immediately waved while being aware of the matters imprinted in the previous lesson, and the ball often flew in the right direction. (Wy go right!?!? little bit irritated!!)

 

If you swing and make the ball fly in the right direction, you will be made to swing each time, and the correct movements of the body will enter many times.

 

Then, sometimes the club hits the top of the ball and becomes a grounder ball.

 

Why fly to the right☟

  • My right side is not closed.
  • Over swaying of the right arm
  • Twist your right wrist too quickly.

 

Why hitting the top of the ball☟

  • The upper body warps just before the impact.
  • My left arm is pulling forcibly.

 

I see, I understand, but if you hit all of these things consciously, the body will not move
smoothly(-_-)

 

Relax and Move Your Body

Since I am a student who graduated from the Physical Education Department and lived with good motor nerves, it’s somewhat  easy for me to execute any  physical activities.

 

Talking about golf instructions, it’s sometimes good just to clear your head and think in broader terms.

To put it simply, the overall motion of a good swing is push-pull: You push the club back, and you pull it through.

 

After hitting it several times, coach Popoy advised me two things.

 

”The left hand is a pull image. Now I’m adding too much power to my right hand."

 

The left hand is a good focal point because the hands are the only parts of the body on the club.
In fact, think of the back of the left hand as the clubface: If the hand stays steady, so does the face. A square face going back boosts your chances of getting back to impact square, which is the ultimate goal.

 

”The upper body does not move forward, back, left, or right until the moment of impact. Now I have a habit of moving in the left shoulder direction."

 

In my interpretation, that is:

”Just add a little more grip to your left hand and just add your right hand."

 

”The upper body is conscious of not moving, and rotates it around the body.”

 

The moment I tried to shake these two things, just to be conscious

Muscles are rotated around the body without
stiffening

”You can relax and hit more, you don’t need to exert so much strength because you have enough muscles.”

 

I remember this one saying that resonated for some reason.

 

Relax your muscles, hit the ball and rotate your body. Just give your  full concentration each time.

 

From there, I was able to experience a remarkable improvement, making the ball fly straight each time!

 

I thought it might be a little fun to play golf for the first time(^_-)-☆

 

Oh, I saw various types of golf and swing tutorials on YouTube and it’s very useful and
informative, but I am talking about my experience.

 

”Each person has a different body, so there is no need to imitate it, but there are things to refer to. I have my form and you have your form.”
