Review of the Previous Day

Reservation time starts  at exactly  9:00 a.m., so when I arrived at the training ground 2 minutes later, the coach was already preparing. In the Philippines, it is usual to be later than the exact scheduled  time, but as expected, this is Korean management, so basically everybody is time conscious.

For about 5 minutes from the start, I stretched easily and had a mental note on  “how to turn the body” and do  “foot width”. Golf, just like any other sports is like learning Science and Mathematics. It has it’s own formulas and strategies used as well in order to do it accurately and consistently.

From there, I made a swing without a ball and reviewed my swing consciously.

Basically, the allotted personal lesson time is 60 minutes per lesson, so as soon as you stretch there is almost no  time to waste, you start practicing.

I like this quite personally, because English conversation is the main thing when I study abroad. Playing golf while improving my English conversation skills is like hitting two birds with one stone. I get to learned not only one, but two skills at the same time and that’s absolutely a good thing, right?

However, if you talk during the first 10 to 15 minutes of golf practice, you will seriously lose time, so it is just right for you to be able to concentrate on each 60 minutes.

Well, I’m not here  for the  English conversation, I’m here  to learn golf(^^)/

Takeaway Awareness

Learning the correct golf stance is something you never actually “learn” and then forget. It‘s something that needs to be practiced, monitored, adjusted, and like every other aspect of your game given focus and constant practice.

If you make a few swings, you will immediately get tired. (Points pointed out mainly (omit some points said on the first day)

  1. Grip the golf club tightly and start swinging from the center of your body going to the left or right,
depending on which way are you facing and the direction of your swing.
  2. Your head must move in parallel from start position going to the direction of your swing.

  3. Your swing must be up to the position of 10 o’clock or up to 300 degrees, and the right side is tightened.

  4. When swinging down, lower the left elbow and left wrist while keeping it fixed (wrist fixation is important)

  5. Rotate the body with the waist in 3D movements.

  6. Maintain the angle of the upper body (if the upper body warps even a little, it will meet the top of the ball)

Hip rotation is an important aspect of your golf swing. It works together with many other parts of your body to produce a nice rhythm and tempo and it helps generate power, control accuracy, and keep your club face square.

Failure to rotate your hips properly can result in pushing or pulling the ball and inconsistent strikes on the club. You must continually rotate your hips throughout the entirety of your swing and in order to do this you can‘t sway them. The more efficiently you rotate your body, the better.

Today I was conscious of the form of this takeaway and I made it every time.

I’m not aware of the distance of the ball, anyway

The direction of the flow of the ball is decided by “consideration of the form”

The direction or angle of the where the ball will go will depend on the rotation of your upper body, your hips and your footing. So basically every movement you make and your entire setup affects the flow of the ball.

Certainly if your starting setup is perfect and your body’s rotation angle is perfect, your ball will absolutely fly in a  straight direction.

But it’s hard to hit it back-to-back(+o+)

It takes a lot of practice to perfect this skill.

The upper body is warped, and it is not possible to move in parallel in the right direction, and it is not possible to do it continuously....

Take away by moving the head in parallel to the back ball, and when hitting the image to move parallel to the black rubber pin in front.

Is golf a game that strikes with such a sense of awareness? Seriously, I stopped thinking when I was a child!

My Feeling on the Second Day

f:id:CLARDSATO:20200607130746j:plain

The left elbow swings to the angle of  exactly 10 o’clock, not more or less.

The only way to hit the ball is by fixing the left elbow while being aware of the rotation of the upper body and the parallel movement in the right direction is pretty much like when I  was playing baseball before.

The left foot is also basically fixed. Well, I know it’s important to move the body functionally while thinking about this new thing (* ́ з’)

Also, maybe because I did it two days in a row, I was about get a lesion on my right thumb.

I remembered why I hated golf when I was little.

I hated golf when I was little because of the lesion  on my finger…

I didn’t like the bad pain in this thumb mate, so I hated golf(-_-)
