【Golf Practice Approach】Three Points that Beginners Want to be Careful About when Approaching
Hello, this is CLARD!
I injured my ankle during farm work, but I am practicing what I can do for the upcoming first domestic match (against the president) on May 16(; ・`д・´)
Currently, the emphasis is on the driver, but since the pain in my right ankle is inevitable, I decided to take an approach with less movement.
This is an approach, but when I posted it to the golf group on Facebook the other day, I got a lot of comments about the approach, so I'm motivated!
And I was really grateful for the many lessons and discoveries I learned from the comments(*‘∀‘)
By the way, there are three points to be aware of in this approach, but these are the conclusions☟
- How to address
- Target
- Club to use

How to Address it Even Though it is an Approach
<How to address with few mistakes (see top image)>
- Align your feet
- The grip is about 2 inches shorter than usual
- The position of the ball is on the line of the heel of the left foot (the feeling of distance from the ball is close)
If the width of the foot is wide, the swinging up tends to be large, so the feet should be aligned.
In the open stance, I can see it in front of my right foot, but I want to keep it on the line of my left foot.
Also, since you can hit with your arm and wrist fixed, the place where you hit will be stable( `ー´)ノ
Where to Drop It, Not the Pin!
In this regard,
◎→Think about where to drop the first bound
×→Aware of pulling to the pin
Instead of looking at the pin when you hold it, look at the point to make it one bounce(^_-)-☆
However, I see the pin in the indirect field of view and the point of one bounce in the direct field of view.
In other words
It is important whether or not you were able to drop to the target point!
As you can see from the image, the results are pretty scattered …(;'∀')
Club Selection According to the Situation
I was surprised to hear many comments about this!
Because my stereotype was "approach = SW or PW", but with comments from experts
"I also use UT and FW in the approach."
"Approach exclusively with putters, regardless of beginners"
Is it really ( ゚Д゚)!!
Is it okay to do it in so many clubs?!
This is learning! The most meaningful and cozy golf group(*'▽')
And, as I did half a year ago, the approach was only done with SW.
This is a big mistake!
Because☟
Club that does not fly
=The swing width bigger
=The range of mistakes also increases
that's why,
Use PW
=The swing width becomes smaller
=The range of mistakes becomes smaller (even if you make a mistake, it will fly as it is)
My right foot hasn't healed yet, but I can only do what I can do until May 16th!
