Easy, Safe and Healthy Farming Part-time Job! 【First Week of Walking Around】

f:id:CLARDSATO:20201114183052j:plain

Hello, this is CLARD!

I returned from the Philippines temporarily, and my isolation life was over, so it is the first week of farming part-time at a farm near Narita Airport!

I'm still learning a lot, but since I'm a part-time worker, I'm basically focusing on simple tasks. In addition, it is highly safe because it is a series of efficient work using simple agricultural equipment.

It was a little surprising, but it was the first week, but I am a little happy that I leave the field work of one section alone to some extent☆

However, since it is a field, one section may be big like a soccer field ( ゚Д゚)

Grow Soil Before Growing Vegetables

The fine weather was continuing!

I've heard the word "grow soil" while reading a comic.

First of all, the soil where vegetables grow firmly is super important for agriculture.

It's just creating an environment. This is the same for vegetables and humans. A good environment fosters good vegetables and good human resources.

I immediately asked the farm owner (Mr. Takishima) about the location and how to sprinkle fertilizer, and sprinkle fertilizer on the field in the image above! Although it is not visible from the image, there is actually about one side of the soccer court.

Meaning of Growing Soil ☟

  • By controlling weeds, we concentrate nutrition on the target vegetables.
  • Raise it to a uniform size, even a little bigger

Roughly this means.

If these are neglected, the size will be sparse and it will not grow to a sufficient size.

Wheat is the main fertilizer

Fertilizer 10 kg + equipment 25 kg = spraying carrying a total of 35 kg!

It looks heavy to see, but it is really heavy(*´▽`*)

It's really a complete exercise while working part-time!

I walked for about 5 hours on this day while carrying a total of 35 kg .

Of course, since I keep walking in the soil of the field, my feet are buried about three times the sandy beach, so this work is definitely better than paying money and running with runners in the gym!

It is mid-November, but it is a day enough with one shirt while working, thanks to you ☆

Different Fields Grow Different Soils

Spraying another fertilizer with this hand-wound machine in a different field

On different days, I sprayed different fertilizers with the light agricultural equipment shown in the image.

The device itself has become lighter, but since it is the same to continue walking in the soil, the distance is somewhat shorter, but there are many additions!

In addition, on another day, fertilize the soil before growing carrots in the greenhouse. Again different agricultural equipment and fertilizers!

When the crops and fields are different in Honma, it's a different feeling ( ゚Д゚),

and I'm surprised at the depth of agriculture.

This is a completely gravity-based spraying device

Carry it on your back like a school bag and spread the fertilizer evenly  from the lower right part.

Evenly! Always be aware of that!

Even if it is a simple task, if you lose your concentration, you will run out of fertilizer and the overall balance will be worse!

After

The entire surface is whitish.

Three kinds of fertilizers were sprinkled here, and the same work were carried out in a total of three houses, which took about half a day ( `ー´)ノ

Anyway, every day is a series of different tasks, so I'm having a lot of fun working part-time in agriculture so far (*´▽`*)
